Text Case Converter
Turn any text into UPPERCASE, lowercase, Start Case, Sentence case, reversed, trimmed or spaceless — instantly.
What is it
Text case is about which letters are big and which are small. A converter applies one rule to your whole text at once: raise every letter, lower every letter, capitalize the first letter of each word, or fix only sentence starts — plus extras like reversing the characters and stripping spaces so the result fits a URL or a filename.
Notes & fun facts
Programming languages are picky about case: Python convention wants function_names in snake_case, JavaScript prefers camelCase, and Java keeps ClassNames in PascalCase. Get it wrong and the code still runs — it just makes every teammate wince. That is why case converters live in every developer’s bookmark bar.
Origin & history
Movable type in the 15th century forced printers to split letters into two drawers: capitals (the upper case) and small letters (the lower case). Those names stuck. The modern convention of starting sentences with a capital spread with the first printed Bibles and grammars in the 16th century; camelCase as a naming style is generally traced to the 1970s programming community.
